Ambassador Albana Dautllari met with the General Secretary of the Council of Europe, Mrs. Marija Pejčinović Burić at the end of her diplomatic mission.

During the meeting, Secretary General Buric and Ambassador Dautllari assessed the development of relations between Albania and the Council of Europe, expressed their satisfaction for the fruitful cooperation between Albania and the Council of Europe and expressed the belief that the effective cooperation will develop further.

Ambassador Dautllari appreciated the important role and contribution offered by the CoE in strengthening the standards of democracy and human rights, underlining that Albania has a long-term cooperation with the CoE.

Among other things, Ambassador Dautllari appreciated the cooperation with the Council of Europe for the support given to the reforms undertaken by the Albanian government in accordance with the standards of the Council of Europe and the acquis of the European Union in the framework of the enlargement process.

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe thanked Ambassador Dautllari for the contribution made to the Council of Europe for the expansion and deepening of relations between Albania and the Council of Europe, but also for her active role as the chairperson of GR-C and participation in forums others of KiE wishing success in its future activity.

Ambassador Dautllari, for her part, pointed out that she was honored to have made her contribution to the development and expansion of relations between Albania and Kosovo.
