At the invitation of the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, the Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, was on a visit to Tirana where she participated in the ceremony for Tirana taking over the Presidency of the largest Network of Balkan B-40 cities.
The interlocutors discussed the strengthening of cooperation between the two capitals as well as the exchange of experiences in various fields of interest to the parties. They estimated that between the two cities there is a great potential for cooperation in the future.
On this occasion, the two Mayors signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of cultural and economic relations between Tirana and Sarajevo, which is expected to give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation.
