On January 16, 2024, at the invitation of the Mayor of Zagreb, Mr. Tomislav Tomašević. Ambassador Poda participated in the reception organized for the diplomatic corps on the occasion of the new year.
During the reception, Ambassador Poda met with Mayor Tomašević, with whom they underlined the importance of cooperation between the two countries and the special role that the municipalities of the respective capitals have within local government.
Evaluating last year’s visit to Tirana by Mayor Tomasevic, the interlocutors expressed their belief in the potential of cooperation between the two capitals. In this context, they also discussed the upcoming visit of Mayor Veliaj to Zagreb.
