In the framework of the Embassy’s ongoing commitment to strengthening and deepening bilateral cooperation with Croatia, according to areas of mutual interest, with a special focus of cooperation in the field of justice, Ambassador Poda held a meeting with the new Prosecutor General of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Ivan Turudic.
Ambassador Poda wished success to Mr. Turudic in fulfilling the mission of the Prosecutor General of Croatia. Next, he briefly informed Mr. Turudic on the main aspects of the Justice Reform as well as the progress marked by our country in terms of improving and consolidating the functioning of the institutions created by this Reform.
The interlocutors also discussed the expansion of cooperation between the general prosecutor’s offices of both countries, in order to increase the effectiveness and exchange experiences for addressing the respective challenges in their work.
Appreciating the direct contacts between the relevant authorities of both countries as well as the contribution of the visit made last year by the General Prosecutor of Croatia to Tirana in strengthening bilateral cooperation, the interlocutors agreed on the realization of a visit of the General Prosecutor of Albania to Croatia , within the month of July 2024.
