In the framework of the Embassy’s commitment to the expansion of bilateral cooperation with Croatia at the local and regional level, a delegation of the Municipality of Pogradec, headed by the Mayor, Mr. Ilir Xhakolli, conducted a two-day visit to the Municipality of Šibenik, at the invitation of the Mayor of Šibenik Mr. Źeljko Burić. During this visit, the Pogradec Municipality delegation was accompanied by Ambassador Poda.
Mayor Xhakolli and the delegation that accompanied him, in addition to the meeting with his counterpart Burić, were also hosted in a meeting with representatives at the local level in the field of entrepreneurship, tourism, waste management, including a meeting at the student campus.
Also, the two Mayors expressed their willingness and joint commitment to give a new impact to the cooperation between the two municipalities. In this context, the possibility of signing a bilateral agreement for joint application of funds for EU projects was also assessed.
