In the framework of his state visit to Croatia, the President of the Republic Sh.T.Z. Bajram Begaj together with the President of the Republic of Croatia, Sh.T.Z. Zoran Milanovic, visited the urban community of Zadar.
President Begaj appreciated the role of the Albanian community in preserving Albanian identity, language, culture and traditions.
He underlined the contribution of this community in strengthening friendly bilateral relations between the two peoples and the two countries. “This precious heritage of our nation that your ancestors brought here to Zadar, we have a common obligation to preserve and promote it even more” – said President Begaj.
The Head of State praised Croatia’s approach and policies for minorities, underlining that Albanians, both from the Arban community and those who arrived in recent decades, are adequately represented in various areas of life, up to political levels in the country’s parliament.
