This week, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, H.E. Mr. Edi Rama, welcomed to Tirana the Prime Minister of Denmark, H.E. Mrs. Mette Frederiksen, in a first visit ever by a Danish Prime Minister in our country.
Talks between the two Prime Ministers stretched on a large array of issues and projects, mainly looking at the further strengthening of the overall Albanian-Danish relationship and Albania`s European path, including highlighting our country`s strong commitment to the common European values, as well as reinforcing an ever-closer partnership with the Western Balkans in today`s geopolitical context.
As an important chapter for the bilateral relations and the deep longstanding friendship between the Albanian and Danish people, Prime Minister Frederiksen`s visit to Albania has demonstrated both sides` willingness to work together for fostering and intensifying our cooperation at all levels, both on the bilateral front and in the framework of international organisations and multilateral fora, to the mutual benefit, as well as in the interest of strengthening peace and security in Europe and worldwide.
