13.03.2025 – The Albanian Parliament has ratified the Agreement between the Republic of Albania and the European Investment Bank (EIB), which provides for the opening of an EIB representative office in Tirana.

In this regard, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Igli Hasani, has also reacted. According to him:

“This is an important step that helps Albania advance on the path of European integration and sustainable development, as the opening of an EIB office in Tirana is an opportunity to accelerate the implementation of strategic projects, such as infrastructure, renewable energy, digitalization, healthcare and education”.

Among other things, he underlines that this office will help with new financing and support for key projects that will contribute to economic growth and the improvement of living conditions for Albanian citizens.

The opening of the EIB representative office in Tirana is of exceptional importance for the economic development and integration of Albania into the European Union, and sends a strong message of confidence in the economic climate in our country.
