March 10, 2025 – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Mr. Igli Hasani, welcomed today in Tirana the Minister for European Affairs of Sweden, Ms. Jessica Rosencrantz.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the fruitful cooperation and ties between Albania and Sweden, and underlined the joint commitment to preserve and strengthen democratic values, peace and security in Europe.

Minister Igli Hasani took the opportunity to express Albania’s gratitude to the Swedish authorities for their strong support and assistance over the years for Albania’s integration into the EU. “Sweden has always been an unwavering supporter of Albania for institutional reforms, democratization, good governance and technical assistance during our European journey.” – he said.

Among other things, in the meeting with the Minister for European Affairs of Sweden, Minister Igli Hasani also underlined Albania’s determination to complete the process of comprehensive and transformative reforms to align with European standards in a timely manner, as well as its role as a regular contributor to the cooperation, stability and cohesion of our region.
