Bled (Slovenia), September 3, 2024 – Invited to the Bled Strategic Forum, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Mr. Igli Hasani, participated in the panel on “Full and free Europe: A renewed commitment for European security”.
During the panel, Minister Hasani presented the important progress that Albania has made, in its journey towards European integration, saying, “It is important to understand that Albania has not simply made progress; Albania has made a great progress that is concrete, measurable and real, and it is accepted as such.”

Also, Minister Hasani pointed out Albania’s steadfast commitment to continue with the implementation of necessary reforms towards membership in the European Union.
According to him, EU integration is the only sustainable path for the Western Balkans, ensuring the transformation and preservation of a united Europe.
“Both, the European Union and the Western Balkans must engage in time for reforms and innovative integration strategies. We have the framework and the tools, we need quick political decisions”, emphasized Minister Igli Hasani.
Minister Hasani congratulated his Slovenian counterpart, Tanja Fajon, for organizing this important forum in dealing with current security challenges and promoting regional cooperation.
