During the first day of the Bled Strategic Forum, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, held bilateral meetings with Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo; Sirpa Rautio, Director of the European Fundamental Rights Agency and Stephen Doughty, Minister of State for Europe, North America and the Overseas Territories, UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
In the meeting with MFA Gërvalla, the two counterparts appreciated the excellent and fraternal cooperation between the two countries, as they emphasized that Albania-Kosovo cooperation is considered strategic, stabilizing for the region and orienting for the Euro-Atlantic perspective.
Minister Hasani said that a concrete and comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Kosovo is needed, making it a model and encouragement for regional cooperation between Albanians and beyond.
During the meeting with the Director of the European Agency for Fundamental Rights, MEPJ Igli Hasani stated that Albania is doing its best to
taking relevant measures for the creation of a Data Collection Methodology for a proper assessment of the level of implementation of policies and strategies of human rights legislation.
Minister Hasani concluded the first day of the forum by holding a meeting with Stephen Doughty, Minister of State for Europe, North America and the Overseas Territories, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the United Kingdom.
Minister Hasani and Minister Doughty appreciated the good bilateral relations between Albania and the United Kingdom, as they agreed to strengthen efforts for their further intensification.
MEPJ Igli Hasani said that the Albanian government welcomes British investments and support in strategic sectors such as: defense, security and cyber security, energy, infrastructure, etc.
