The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, during his participation in the 60th Munich Security Conference, held a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from the participating states.
Minister Hasani held meetings with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, France, Germany, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Malta, Bavaria, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, etc. Also, the Albanian chief diplomat held bilateral meetings with the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the British Parliament, Alice Kearns, and the British Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Lord Stuart Peach.
The focus of the meetings were issues such as: the current European and global security situation, the deepening of bilateral relations, the European integration of the Western Balkans region, etc.
Minister Igli Hasani was part of the Albanian delegation headed by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
About 50 heads of state and government, over 100 ministers, as well as leaders of many leading international organizations and civil society, participated in this conference.
At the center of the discussions in Munich were issues related to the strengthening of the international order based on rules and the engagement in a coalition as inclusive as possible to address the revisionist tendencies of the current world security order.
