Tirana, July 2, 2024 – The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, received in a meeting the Special Envoy of the Chinese Government for European Affairs, Wu Hongbo, who visited Albania.
The visit of Mr. Hongbo comes on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, a moment which underscores the will to further mutual understanding and cooperation for the future.
The interlocutors appreciated the bilateral commitment to work together, to strengthen relations, bilateral and multilateral cooperation in areas of common and global interest.
The parties reaffirmed the importance of increasing exchanges between peoples, as a basis that fosters mutual understanding and trust for the future and serves as a catalyst for generating solutions and addressing challenges.
The two officials focused on the need for cooperation in the field of tourism, business and trade, to create space in the Chinese markets for Albanian products.
