Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Elisa Spiropali was received this afternoon in Brussels by the Vice-President of the European Commission and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
Spiropali announced on social networks that the focus of the meeting was Albania’s further engagement as a factor of regional security, a reliable and proactive partner of the EU, fully aligned with the Union’s policies, including in the continuous and unconditional support for Ukraine.
Spiropali announces that in the meeting with Kallas, “I emphasized my full conviction that the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU, including Kosovo, is a strategic investment for the common future under the European sky”.
Chief diplomat Kallas once again praised Albania for its full alignment with the EU’s foreign policies and for the seriousness with which the country has engaged in the negotiation process.
Further, Spiropali thanked the European Chief Diplomat for the two financial assistance packages of 28 million euros for the strengthening and modernization of the capacities of the Albanian Armed Forces.
