In the presence of Albanian music, poetess Aferdita Selenica presented her poetry collection “Verses of My Soul” at the embassy premises. The event featured a thoughtful discussion among art critics, journalists, poets, musicians, friends, and admirers of Aferdita’s work, who engaged in a dialogue about the value of the author’s creations, the messages conveyed, and the impact on readers.
As Ambassador Mrs. Luela Hajdaraga remarked during the event, the poetry collection “Spirit in Verses” represents the culmination of Aferdita’s extensive artistic journey. Despite the life challenges she faced, which could not alter her profound love for art and literature, these very challenges inspired her to write with increasing frequency, as the emotions she explored both at home and abroad were profoundly deep.
The poems, as interpreted by the author’s friends, offered rich emotional layers, vivid depictions of the Albanian community’s life, and a narrative of a generation that witnessed significant transformations. The collection exemplifies a literature that is both open-minded and transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.
