An important meeting took place between the Ambassador, Mrs. Luela Hajdaraga, and the Greek Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Mrs. Niki Kerameus, focusing on the agreement for the mutual recognition of pensions between the two countries.
This agreement, which is expected to follow a model similar to the one Albania has signed with Italy, will benefit a large number of Albanian citizens living and working in Greece.
The pension agreement will contribute to improving the social well-being of Albanian citizens and strengthening bilateral relations between Albania and Greece in the field of social protection and social security.
So far, Albania has finalized 18 international agreements on social security, demonstrating its commitment to expanding social protection for Albanian citizens in different countries around the world.
The Greek side expressed its willingness to move forward with the third round of negotiations, a step that reinforces the commitment to deepening cooperation in this area.
This agreement will be a significant achievement in addressing the needs of the Albanian community in Greece and an important step in strengthening close and lasting cooperation between the two countries.
