In this spirit, Albania has taken an important step in supporting the teaching of the Albanian language in Greece. As part of the “Teachers for Greece” program, Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu, and the Albanian Ambassador to Greece, Luela Hajdaraga, held a meeting with the first 50 selected teachers, along with students and parents.
Prime Minister Rama praised Ambassador Hajdaraga for her dedication to this initiative and thanked the teachers for their key role in preserving the Albanian language. He emphasized that this is just the beginning of an ambitious program to ensure Albanian language education in all areas where Albanian children reside.
As part of this process, on March 2, the first 50 employment contracts were signed between teachers and the Embassy of Albania in Athens, marking an important step towards institutionalizing and financially supporting teachers who will serve as a bridge of language and identity for Albanians in Greece.
Thank you to all the teachers who passionately and devotedly protect our language!
You are the light that illuminates the path for future generations!
