In line with the Economic Diplomacy 2025 agenda, a constructive meeting took place at the Embassy of Cyprus in Athens between the Economic Diplomat of the Embassy of Albania, Ms. Joana Zhonga, and the Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Joseph Kypraios.
Building on the mutual commitment expressed during the respective visits of the two Ministers of Foreign Affairs, discussions focused on concrete steps to further strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Albania and Cyprus, enhance the legal framework, promote investments in priority sectors, and foster new business-to-business partnerships to the benefit of both economies.
Cyprus ranks as the 13th largest investor in Albania, with a stock of €306 million (Q1 2025), and 10th in terms of investment inflows during the first quarter of 2025.
On the eve of its upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in the first half of 2026, we reiterate our sincere appreciation for the continuous support that the Republic of Cyprus extends to Albania’s EU integration process, as well as for its commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
