The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece ceremoniously inaugurated the exhibition “Albania Through the Years”, an evocative journey into the collective memory, identity and cultural heritage of the Albanian people, presented through the distinguished historical collection of Professor Dr. Panagiotis Koliomichalis.

Organized with the support of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Albania, within the framework of the “Cultur Alb, Albanian Days Around the World” initiative, the exhibition offered visitors an opportunity to experience the depth, resilience and richness of Albanian cultural history.

The collection featured postcards, maps, engravings, rare books, paintings, photographs and archival documents, precious fragments of the Albanian spirit that have traveled across five continents. Each artifact, carefully reclaimed from the shadows of time, has been transformed by Professor Koliomichalis into a treasure preserved with profound devotion and respect.

“This exhibition is a tribute to the human spirit and to his unwavering love for Albania, as well as a testament to the belief that our cultural heritage deserves to be honoured and safeguarded with dignity and pride,” emphasized Ambassador Luela Hajdaraga in her welcoming remarks.
Ambassador Hajdaraga also commended the exceptional humanitarian contribution of Mr. Koliomichalis, recognizing his vital role in promoting Albanian heritage and strengthening the bonds of friendship between the Albanian and Greek peoples. Mr. Koliomichalis expressed his earnest wish that his invaluable collection remain intact and be entrusted either to the Albanian state or to an Albanian patriot committed to continuing this noble mission.

The event brought together representatives of Albanian institutions, members of the diplomatic corps, distinguished figures from the arts, culture and business communities, as well as many friends and admirers of Professor Koliomichalis.
