On 8 June 2026, a meeting was held at the premises of the Athens Chamber of Crafts and Small Industries (Βιοτεχνικό Επιμελητήριο Αθηνών – Β.Ε.Α.) between Ms. Joana Zhonga, First Secretary for Economic Diplomacy at the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Athens, and Mr. Konstantinos Damigos, President of the Chamber, in the presence of representatives from the Chamber’s Development, Crafts and International Relations Departments.

The meeting took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere and focused on strengthening economic and professional relations between Albania and Greece, while exploring avenues for cooperation between the Athens Chamber of Crafts and Small Industries and the National Chamber of Crafts of Albania (NCCA).

Particular attention was given to the important role of the Albanian business community in Athens, which is actively engaged in various sectors of craftsmanship, technical professions and small entrepreneurship, making a valuable contribution to both the local economy and the activities of the Chamber.

The discussions highlighted concrete opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including vocational education and training, the exchange of expertise and best practices, support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), the promotion of innovation and digital transformation, participation in European programmes and projects, the preservation and promotion of traditional crafts and artisan professions, as well as the empowerment of women and young entrepreneurs.

In this context, both sides agreed to work towards establishing a sustainable institutional partnership between the two chambers, including the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and organising reciprocal business and professional delegations.
