Continuing the close collaboration between the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece and the Delphi Economic Forum, the President of DEF, Mr. Simeon Tsomokos, accompanied by the Albanian Ambassador to Greece, Ms. Luela Hajdaraga, conducted an official working visit to Tirana in preparation for the 5th edition of the Tirana Economic Forum, a satellite event of the DEF.
During the visit, Mr. Tsomokos, a close friend of Albania, was warmly received by high-level Albanian officials at the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, as well as at the Embassy of Greece in Tirana.
The meetings focused on opportunities for institutional cooperation and on promoting dialogue between the public and private sectors to foster economic development and Albania’s European integration.
As part of the visit, meetings were also held with representatives of Greek and Albanian businesses, highlighting the Tirana Economic Forum as an important platform for economic collaboration, innovation, and regional exchange.
This year’s edition, titled “Embracing the Future: Albania’s Sustainable Growth as a Regional Economic Hub”, aims to highlight Albania’s strategic role in the Southeast European region and how the country can contribute to building closer partnerships with other Western Balkan nations.
The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Athens will continue to support this initiative as a concrete instrument for strengthening economic and institutional ties between Albania and Greece, while promoting Albania as an active and constructive regional partner.
In this context, the Embassy expresses its special appreciation to Mr. Simeon Tsomokos, President of the Delphi Economic Forum, for his high spirit of cooperation and his dedication to advancing initiatives that bring our countries closer together and contribute to shared prosperity.
We invite Albanian and Greek entrepreneurs, as well as public and private sector representatives, to participate in the next edition of the Tirana Economic Forum—a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and identify new investment opportunities in Albania and the wider region.
