The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece hosted a festive reception on the occasion of the November Celebrations, in honor of Flag Day, the 113th anniversary of Independence, and the 81st anniversary of Liberation. The gala evening, which was also attended by the Head of the Kosovo Interests Office in Athens, Mr. Fitim Gllareva, brought together more than 400 guests, including distinguished figures from the fields of art, culture, sports, academia, medicine, science, and entrepreneurship, as well as representatives of cultural associations, young people, and guests from Albania and Albanian-speaking regions. The event created a warm atmosphere of unity and national pride.

The reception was enriched by the energetic performance of Era Rusi and her band, traditional dances by the “Shqiponja” Tirana ensemble, as well as traditional costumes and a photography exhibition curated by the “Tradita AL” Foundation under the supervision of Ms. Edlira Sulaj. Authentic Albanian products, presented by the Tepelena Water Factory and the Fani Winery from Berat, added a distinctive dimension to the event, highlighting Albania’s flavors and traditions.

In her welcoming remarks, Ambassador Luela Hajdaraga highlighted the achievements of 2025 for the Albanian community in Greece, describing Albanians in Greece as a success story who enhance Albania’s reputation through hard work, dedication, and integrity. She emphasized the vital role of Albanian-language teachers and the strong connection with the younger generation, which is growing up in Greece while preserving the Albanian language, identity, and national values-an invaluable investment in the future of the nation as a whole.

A significant contribution to the organization of the evening was also made by Albanian entrepreneurs who, through their support and commitment, demonstrated that the Albanian community in Greece is a vibrant, creative, and united force. They stand as a strong example of the values, solidarity, and potential of Albanian identity.

The lively and enthusiastic atmosphere of the reception reaffirmed that, no matter the distance, Albania lives in the hearts of every Albanian abroad. The November Celebrations remain a meaningful occasion for reflection, gratitude, and togetherness.

Best wishes on the November national celebrations.
