The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Greece hosted a festive reception to mark the November Celebrations, commemorating Flag Day, the 113th Anniversary of Independence, and the 81st Anniversary of Liberation. The gala evening, attended by over 400 guests, including the Head of the Office of Kosovo Interests in Athens, Mr. Fitim Gllareva, brought together prominent figures from the arts, culture, sports, academia, medicine, science, and business, alongside representatives of cultural associations, youth, and guests from Albania and Albanian-speaking regions. The event created a warm atmosphere of unity and national pride.

The evening featured an energetic performance by Era Rusi and her band, traditional dances by the “Shqiponja” group from Tirana, and an elegant exhibition of traditional clothing and photography curated by the “Tradita AL” Foundation under the guidance of Ms. Edlira Sulaj. Authentic Albanian products from Uji Tepelene and Fani Winery in Berat added a special dimension, highlighting the connection to Albanian heritage and culinary traditions.

In her welcome address, Ambassador Luela Hajdaraga highlighted the achievements of 2025 for the Albanian community in Greece, describing Albanians living in Greece as a success story that proudly elevates Albania’s name through dedication, hard work, and integrity. She emphasized the vital role of Albanian language teachers in fostering a connection with the younger generation, who are growing up in Greece while preserving the language, identity, and values of their homeland—a precious investment in the nation’s future.

The evening’s success was further strengthened by Albanian entrepreneurs, whose work and support demonstrate the community’s vitality, creativity, and unity. They continue to exemplify the values, solidarity, and potential of Albanians in Greece.

The lively and enthusiastic atmosphere of the reception reaffirmed that, no matter the distance, Albania lives in the hearts of every Albanian abroad. The November Celebrations remain a meaningful occasion for reflection, gratitude, and togetherness.

Warmest wishes on Albania’s November Holidays!
