The Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Greece, Mrs. Luela Hajdaraga, attended the premiere of the play “MAMI”, a powerful theatrical work written and directed by Albanian director and actor Mario Banushi, which was staged at the Onassis Foundation in Athens (Ίδρυμα Ωνάση / Onassis Foundation).
“MAMI” brings to the stage a touching story about the relationship between a mother and her son, exploring love, sacrifice, and the impact of family bonds in shaping identity. With a deep and unique performance, the play intertwines drama with reflection, making the audience part of a universal narrative.
Ambassador Mrs. Luela Hajdaraga congratulated director Mario Banushi on his creativity and emphasized that this work is a testament to the power of art in building bridges between cultures and communities. She praised the contribution of young Albanians in the diaspora to the international artistic scene, describing it as a reflection of talent, creative spirit, and a strong connection to cultural roots.
The play “MAMI” will continue to be performed at the Onassis Foundation until March 22, 2025.
