Athens, 3 June 2025 – The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Igli Hasani, conducted an official visit to Athens, during which he held important meetings with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Constantinos Tassoulas, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Giorgos Gerapetritis.
During these meetings, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations grounded in mutual respect, strategic cooperation, and constructive dialogue. They also highlighted the importance of collaboration within NATO and Greece’s unwavering support for Albania’s European integration process.
As part of his visit, Minister Hasani participated in a roundtable organized by the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) on the topic, “Is EU Membership Achievable? Can Albania Join the EU by the End of the Decade?” He presented to a panel composed of prominent Greek figures in the field of international relations, including scholars, analysts, journalists, and diplomats, outlining Albania’s progress on the path toward EU membership and emphasizing the goal of concluding negotiations by 2027.
