As part of International Women’s Day, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Greece, Ms. Luela Hajdaraga, participated in a meeting organized by the Greek Minister of Tourism, Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, and the President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, Mr. Alexandros Vasilikos, held at the Museum of Cycladic Art.
The meeting focused on the role of women in society and their contribution to the economy, particularly in the tourism sector.
Ambassador Hajdaraga stated that women play a crucial role in the sustainable development of tourism, not only as professionals and entrepreneurs but also as preservers of the cultural and natural identity of their countries. Furthermore, Ms. Hajdaraga emphasized the importance of strengthening women’s role in the tourism industry by ensuring greater access to education, employment, and leadership positions.
After the meeting, the guests attended a guided tour of the exhibition “Cycladic Women: Untold Stories of Women in the Cyclades”.
