The preservation of the values of art and Albanian artists in the diaspora brought together at the Embassy professional artists from theater, cinematography, visual arts, opera, and ballet, along with diplomats and representatives from the Center for the Study of Arts at the Academy of Sciences of Albania, for the presentation and discussion of the “Albanian Artistic Yearbook” (VASH).
VASH, the first publication of its kind, serves as a valuable resource for researchers, educators, students, and the wider public. Researchers Ms. Cikopano and Ms. Gashi emphasized that the creation of artistic archives is a vital process for a nation, and the revival of these archives makes VASH a promising project that offers a more comprehensive overview of the artistic and cultural life of the Albanian community. They invited the present artists to contribute to this Yearbook through their biographies, activities, and artistic events held over the years, and to promote it among their fellow Albanians with the aim of restoring cultural memory and revitalizing cultural archives.
Meanwhile, Ms. Eliverta Radomi, Minister-Counselor at the Embassy, praised the Albanian community in Greece as one of the most prestigious Albanian diaspora communities. She highlighted that the inclusion of their artistic activities in this Yearbook is not only a historical record and a source for studying their work in the diaspora but also a bridge that connects generations through a rich and inspiring artistic heritage.
