On February 5, 2025, Tirana hosted the “Pact of Free Cities” Summit. At the “PACT OF FREE CITIES” summit, mayors and representatives from the largest metropolises shared their experiences and perspectives on sustainable development and strengthening cooperation. The Mayor of Budapest, Mr. Gergely Karácsony, also participated in the summit.
