My collaboration with the heads of this Association has been both intensive and fruitful. Throughout the year, we have successfully held numerous meetings and organized joint activities aimed at further promoting tourism.
I stressed the importance of strengthening ties and cooperation in tourism, culture, and European initiatives between southern Albania and the Municipality of Ioannina, as this can yield tangible benefits for our local communities.
Moreover, I emphasized that in order to achieve sustainable and year-round tourism, we must diligently work on developing regional packages. Our two regions already have the opportunity, willingness, and desire to become a model of effective cooperation across various dimensions, including cultural, culinary, sportive, musical, and historical tourism. By doing so, we can exemplify the “No Borders” integration between our people. This theme will be the focus of our upcoming co-organized event with the Hoteliers Association of Ioannina at the Kakavija border crossing.
