The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Rome organized a festive evening on the occasion of the National Holidays, the 112th anniversary of Flag Day and the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day. The reception organized on this occasion was attended by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi, the Minister of Agriculture of Kosovo, Faton Peci, senators, deputies, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Italy, representatives of the Arbëresh community, as well as compatriots.

In her welcoming speech, the Ambassador of Albania in Rome, Anila Bitri Lani, underlined that Flag Day and Liberation Day are dates that have placed Albanians on the right side of history. Minister Hasani stated that Italy has been and remains our strategic partner and our great advocate on the path of European integration. Undersecretary Tripodi expressed her belief in the further strengthening of cooperation and friendship between the two brotherly peoples.

At this celebration, the national anthems of both countries were performed by a formation composed of the wind instrument quintet of the Italian Military Aeronautics Band and the string quartet of the Orchestra of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.
