The President of the Republic Bujar Nishani received today in a meeting the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Bunmei Ibuki and the parliamentary delegation accompanying him, who are on an visit to Albania.
The President of the Republic Bujar Nishani received today in a meeting the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Bunmei Ibuki and the parliamentary delegation accompanying him, who are on an visit to Albania.
After conveying the messages of friendship and sympathy of the Albanian people for the Japanese people, President Nishani expressed his gratitude for the Japanese assistance, provided by the Development Agency, through various programs implemented by the Agency of International Cooperation, in many areas such as energy, agriculture, infrastructure, health, etc.
Further on, the Head of State pointed out that the visit of the parliamentary delegation is an expression of the interest and importance that Japan attaches to relations with Albania, while underlining that parliamentary diplomacy is a functional dimension of our bilateral political dialogue and a very important area of cooperation.
Appreciating the very good level of relations between our two countries, the President expressed willingness to work together to further strengthen our political and economic cooperation, and invited the Japanese business to be more present in Albania.
President Nishani also expressed his gratitude to Japan for their support and recognition of Kosova, which he also considered as a contribution to peace and stability in the region and assured the Speaker that Albania will in the future be a significant contributor to increasing trust and cooperation in the region.
Mr. Ibuki congratulated the Albanian people on the positive achievements and the democratic developments in Albania, and expressed his conviction the rapid economic development will increase the positive role and authority of Albania in the region and beyond, and assured the President that the favorable climate and concrete projects are key incentives for the presence of Japanese business in Albania.
