The Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta welcomed the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, His Excellency, Mr. Bunmei Ibuki and the accompanying delegation, during their three-day official visit to Albania.

During the candid meeting, Mr. Meta commended the excellent relations between the two countries and expressed his strong belief that there is great potential for expanding relations in the political and economic realms. Mr. Meta expressed the willingness of Albania and the region to absorb Japanese investments.  In addition, Speaker Meta expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ibuki for the support and recognition that Japan has given to Kosovo.

Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Mr. Bunmei Ibuki praised the peaceful democratic processes in Albania, the reforms made during this period and the role of the legislative branch.

Also, Mr. Ibuki recognized the pivotal role that Albanian people play domestically and in the broader regional context, as a strong factor of peace and stability.
