On 8–9 December, the State of Kuwait hosted the 7th Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) PAG meeting, which was also attended by representatives from the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Albania to NATO and the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Kuwait, Ambassador Mr. Ilir Hysa. In his speech, the NATO Special Representative for the Southern Hemisphere, Javier Colomina, emphasized the importance of political dialogue, training and exchange of experiences between NATO and ICI partner countries, underlining the key role of the NATO Regional Center in Kuwait (NIRC) in addressing common security challenges.
