March 24, 2016 – On March 23-26, 2016, the Minister of Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs of Kuwait, which also covers agriculture, made an official visit to Tirana, dr. Ali Saleh Al Omair, at the invitation of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Administration, Mr. Edmond Panariti, During this visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the fields of agriculture and fishing. Minister Panariti, in the joint press conference with his Kuwaiti counterpart Al-Omair, stated that he has requested support from Kuwait for the attraction of investments and for the cleaning of drainage channels. Also, another area of ​​cooperation is the export of drinking water from Albania to Kuwait. The signed bilateral agreement foresees cooperation for the exchange of agricultural research and experiments in relation to the increase of production, fish farming, joint investments in the field of agriculture, training of staff in the field of crop production, food safety, livestock production and increasing export-imports for agricultural and agro-industrial products.
