Today, on October 31, 2018, at his request, Ambassador Saimir Bala was received in a meeting by the Assistant Minister for International Organizations Affairs of the Kuwaiti MFA, Mr. Naser A.M. AlHayen. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange views on multilateral relations.
Assistant Minister Al-Hayan, among others, said that the bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries are excellent. We have cooperated closely with the Albanian side and will continue in the future for issues related to the UN or others. He appreciated and supported our side’s decision to run as a non-permanent candidate country for the UNSC 2022-2023. Then he spoke about the last meeting in Berlin and the preparations being made to help the Syrian people and solve the crisis in this country. Regarding our side’s request for support from the Kuwaiti side for the membership of the Republic of Kosovo in Interpol during the meeting that will take place on November 18-20, 2018, in Dubai/EBA, he said that we are in contact with other Gulf countries for the position that will be held.
