NATO has recognized at the Madrid Summit the Western Balkans as a region of strategic importance to it. In this framework, Albania remains a staunch supporter of the Alliance’s expansion policy. The recent NATO memberships granted to our neighbouring countries serve as clear evidence of the success of this policy. This support aims to strengthen peace, security, and stability in the region, while also preventing negative influences from third parties. Albania has actively endorsed intensified institutional relations between NATO and The Republic of Kosovo.
