Represented by the Minister of Justice, Mr. Ulsi Manja, Albania signed the Convention on Agreements on the Choice of Court and the Protocol on the Law Applicable to Alimony Obligations, in the presence of Mr. Christophe Bernasconi, Secretary General of the Permanent Bureau for Private International Law (HCCH) and Mr. Jules van Eijndhoven, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.

The signing of the Convention on Choice of Court Agreements and the Protocol on the Law Applicable to Maintenance Obligations is an important step for Albania, in strengthening domestic legislation in the field of private international law and an additional instrument for the parties in the settlement of civil disputes.
