Two planes of the Armed Forces of Romania arrived in Albania today, joining the efforts of our forces to isolate and extinguish fires in some problematic areas of the country. The planes came in support of the European Civil Protection Mechanism, of which Albania is also a part. The two military aircraft are one model C-27J (Spartan), which will engage in firefighting operations and the other, C-130 (Hercules), which provides logistical support to the C-27J, while the capacity is 6 tons of water for each flight. Acknowledgment for the continuous support of the European Civil Protection Mechanism and the readiness of the Romanian Armed Forces in response to our country’s request for help in dealing with fire emergencies.
