The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Romania, Luminita Odobescu signed today the Action Plan for cooperation for the period 2024-2025
The Action Plan aims to increase cooperation between the two countries in four key fields: further enhancement of the political dialogue and the exchange between the two ministries; EU integration; cooperation in the field of security and NATO, and in the areas of consular affairs, and crisis management.
During the meeting the counterparts exchanged views on the ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, contributing to regional cooperation and developments in Europe.
The Albanian chief diplomat expressed gratitude to Minister Odobescu for the support Romania has given to the European integration process of Albania and Western Balkans. Minister Hasani requested that this support continues even further in the future.
This is the first visit that a Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Romania pay a visit to Albania since 2014.
