The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Bratislava, in cooperation with the Universal Peace Federation for Slovakia (UPF), organized the “Evening of Albanian Culture” at the UPF premises. Ambassadors, diplomats, Members of Parliament, Peace Federation activists and representatives of the Albanian community in Slovakia participated to the event. Ambassador of Albania Mr. Arten Hanku, in his welcoming speech, gave a brief overview of the history of Albania, its progress in integration into NATO and the EU, the values ​​of art, culture, and the development of Albanian tourism in recent years. Then, through a video collage, the attendees were introduced to the history, the beauties of our country, the values ​​of Albanian folk, colourfully costumes, northern folk songs, polyphonic ones, and the mosaic of dances from different regions of Albania. The programme also featured the professional interpretation of Albanian and international pieces by Albanian violinist Eni Maqellari. Afterwards, during the cocktail party, attendees had the opportunity to taste Albanian culinary specialities.
