On November 26, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Slovakia celebrated the National Day, the 113th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, in a major diplomatic and cultural event held in the main hall of the Primat Palace in the center of Bratislava. The event was attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization, Radoslav Stefanek, as the representative of the Slovak government; the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for European Affairs, Jan Ferenčak; members of the Slovak Parliament; ambassadors; diplomats; academics; representatives of the media and Slovak cultural institutions; as well as members of the Albanian community residing in Slovakia and Austria.
After the national anthems were performed, the attendees were greeted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Slovakia, Mr. Arten Hanku, followed by the State Secretary, Mr. Radoslav Stefanek, speaking on behalf of the Slovak government. Following the screening of a collage of promotional videos on Albanian tourism and the organization of the 6th EPC (European Political Community) Summit held in Tirana in May of this year, guests enjoyed an artistic program featuring the participation of two professional Albanian artists: mezzo-soprano Flaka Goranci from Vienna and pianist Almira Emiri from Berlin. With their virtuosic performance and masterful interpretation of both Albanian and classical pieces, they received ovations from the audience.
At the conclusion of the event, guests had the opportunity to enjoy Albanian culinary specialties at a reception-buffet prepared by the well-known Albanian-owned restaurant “Narbon” in Bratislava.
