During his official visit to Stockholm, the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs also met with the Secretary of State in Prime Minister’s Office, Karin Wallensteen.
Among the topics discussed at the meeting was the joint commitment within the OSCE, in the political, economic and human areas.
“Given that Sweden will take over the OSCE Presidency immediately after Albania, we exchanged the necessary information and coordinated actions with the purpose of a successful hand over of the Presidency next year,” said Cakaj in his Facebook profile regarding the visit.
Also, Chief Diplomat Cakaj stressed that Sweden supports Albania’s objective to become a non-permanent member of the Security Council.
In the meeting of the Albanian Minister Cakaj with Swedish Secretary of State Wallensteen, the discussion was also focused on Albania’s EU path, the importance of continuing reforms and Sweden’s political support so our country will get full membership in the European Union.
