The Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Switzerland, Mr Ermal Dredha, attended an event in Aargau marking the 10th anniversary of the canonisation of Saint Mother Teresa, at the invitation of the Albanian Catholic Mission and Don Pal Tunaj.
Also present were Don David Gjugjaj, head of Vatican Radio’s Albanian-language service, along with representatives of the Catholic Mission, institutions, associations and the Albanian community in Switzerland.
The commemoration highlighted the legacy of Mother Teresa, a source of pride for Albanians and a universal symbol of humanity and compassion. At a time marked by wars, divisions and humanitarian crises, her example remains a call for solidarity, care for those who suffer and respect for the dignity of every person.
The event conveyed the message that peace is built through compassion, mutual understanding and recognition of our shared humanity.
