With the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Switzerland, a new supplementary Albanian language class has opened at Rickenbacher Schule in Rickenbach, in the canton of Lucerne.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Switzerland, Mr Ermal Dredha, visited the class and wished the pupils and their teacher, Ms Dorentina Berisha, every success in this important endeavour to preserve and pass on Albanian language, culture and identity to younger generations in the diaspora.

During the visit, the Ambassador distributed unified Level I and Level II textbooks published by the Centre for Diaspora Publications.

The Embassy encourages Albanian parents in Switzerland to enrol their children in supplementary Albanian language classes, helping them maintain their mother tongue and strengthen their ties to Albania’s cultural heritage.
