For someone who has served with dedication for more than three and a half decades as a public servant and as a member of the Foreign Service, there is no greater honor than assuming the responsibility of Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania at such an important moment for our country.
I would like to thank Prime Minister Rama and President Begaj for the trust they have placed in me — a great privilege, but also a high responsibility toward the state and the citizens of Albania.
Throughout my career, I have had the honor of representing the red and black flag in international organizations and in important capitals, with the firm conviction that serving one’s country is the highest duty of a public servant. This experience has allowed me to see firsthand how much Albania’s weight and credibility have grown on the international stage, and that today our voice is heard with greater respect and attention.
Together with my colleagues in the Foreign Service and with all institutions involved in shaping and implementing foreign policy, we will continue to work to fulfill our mission with dignity in service of the Republic of Albania, advancing the priorities of the government’s program in foreign policy, at the heart of which remains irreversibly the process of Albania’s accession to the European Union.
With dedication, responsibility, and confidence in our country’s potential, guided by the fundamental principle — our national interest — we will work to ensure that Albania becomes ever more respected, more heard, and more successful within the Euro-Atlantic space and on the global stage.
