The Albanian Embassy in Sofia / Ambasada Shqiptare në Sofje today inaugurated the “Art for Diplomacy” project, presenting a large collage/photographic poster of tourist Albania placed at the bus stop near the Palace of Culture in Sofia.
The launch of this project, which aims to promote the tourist sites of Albania, was also attended by the Mayor of Lozonets Municipality, Mr. Konstandin Pavlov, the artist and curator of the exhibition Petya Ilieva, as well as the Mayor of Sredets Municipality Mr. Traycho Traykov, who praised this very important initiative, which introduces the Bulgarian public to Albania as a tourist destination and serves as a bridge between art and diplomacy.
Ambassador Milo thanked Ms. Ilieva for her contribution and artistic vision in launching such a project that highlights Albania as a tourist destination #AlbaniaAllSenses and thanked the two mayors of the mini-municipalities for their willingness to collaborate on joint projects.

Albania is a meeting point of cultures as much as a bridge between East and West, between the Mediterranean and the central part of the Balkans—a place where at a short distance you can find UNESCO heritage cities.

Of great interest are Apollonia and the monument of the Agonotetes, the Odeon, the Library, the surrounding wall, the Portico, the villas with impluvium, the Roman villas with mosaics, the archaeological museum, the Church of St. Mary, etc.

For beach lovers and water enthusiasts, its pristine beaches are perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Albania is a “unique destination”, its Ionian and Adriatic seas are over 450 kilometers of coastline, which fascinates with its reliefs and caves in the south and long sandy beaches.
