As part of the Embassy’s commitment to promoting the tourism potential of our country, on March 1, 2026, Ambassador Sami Shiba held a meeting with representatives of Mawakeb Travel and Tourism, one of the leading companies in the field of tourism in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The purpose of the meeting was to examine the possibilities of cooperation in promoting Albanian tourism, the possibility of participating in tourism fairs in the respective countries, and, in particular, the possibility of organizing tourist groups to visit Albania, using direct charter flights, a very good chance to promote the tourism potential of our country, as well as to increase the number of tourists from Jordan and its neighboring countries visiting Albania.

Representatives of Mawakeb Travel and Tourism emphasized that Mawkeb is one of the leading, most successful companies in recent years, and a contributor to the development and promotion of tourism in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, offering the highest level of travel services, benefiting from previous experiences, as well as specializing in tourist programs in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and in organizing trips for individuals and groups to tourist destinations in Jordan.

Further, the representatives of Mawakeb Travel and Tourism, after highlighting their successful activity in several European countries, and underlining that Albania, referring to the media and well-known international agencies, in recent years, is one of the main and most preferred tourist destinations, referring to the increased interest of Jordanian citizens and foreign citizens who work and reside in Jordan to visit or spend their holidays in Albania, stated that they are interested in expanding tourist destinations, that is, to organize tourist groups through Charter flights to Albania, and, for this purpose, requested the support of the Embassy to facilitate as much as possible the visa procedures for Jordanian tourists who wish to spend their holidays in our country.
