On March 2, 2026, Ambassador Sami Shiba hosted representatives of the Pearl Travel Group tourism agency, led by its General Director, Mohamed Bendary. The purpose of the meeting was to present the agency’s profile, the fact that the company is also registered in Albania, as well as the fact that it has been appointed General Sales Agent (GSA) by GTBeds (an Emirati company in the field of tourism, with an extension to all Gulf countries), adding that the Pearl Travel Group agency aims to promote Albanian destinations for Egyptian tourists and the entire Gulf region through a network of agents in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates and Qatar. Zoto Bendary also presented the connection with the aviation sector, for which a partnership agreement was signed with “Ajet”, a well-known Turkish airline that covers most of the Balkan region. His request was to be assisted by the Embassy mainly for tourist groups or individuals from Egypt to Albania. Ambassador Shiba praised the initiative of the tourist agency, Pearl Travel Group, which will not only increase the flow of tourists to Albania, but will also offer more opportunities for the promotion of Albanian tourist capacities in Egypt and throughout the region. Regarding the request for assistance, Ambassador Shiba assured the Director General of the agency that the Embassy prioritizes support for the development, promotion of tourism, as well as increasing the number of tourists from this region visiting Albania, and, in this context, you will also have the support of the Embassy in facilitating procedures, always in compliance with the rules and criteria, which are all online.
