On March 17, 2025, invited by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Emigrants of the Arab Republic of Egypt, HE Badr Abdelatty, Ambassador Sami Shiba participated in the presentation, for the ambassadors accredited in Cairo, by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Health of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty, regarding the Arab-Islamic plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. Minister Abdelatty focused on the political, humanitarian and security situation in the Gaza Strip, the role of Egypt as an important actor, as well as on the finalization of the peace process, highlighting the importance of continuing the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, considering it crucial for starting the process of implementing the Arab-Islamic plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, without displacing the Palestinian population, while immediately requesting the support of the international factor for the implementation of the Plan, for which, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Health of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty around 53 billion dollars are requested. In order to secure this considerable fund, the Egyptian Foreign Minister declared that an International Conference will be held in Cairo, at the Ministerial level, which is very likely to be considered a Donors Conference.
