Hasani: “Albania, strongly committed to holding free, fair and transparent elections”

Tirana, April 1, 2025 – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Igli Hasani welcomed today in his office Ambassador Lamberto Zannier, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Observer Mission for the general parliamentary elections of May 11 to be held in Albania.

During this meeting, Minister Hasani underlined that:

“Albania strongly appreciates the assistance of the OSCE/ODIHR during the electoral processes and we remain determined to implement the recommendations, while also utilizing its expertise and assistance.”

Among other things, Mr. Hasani also described our country’s commitment to organizing free, fair and transparent elections, in full compliance with OSCE/ODIHR standards.

Albania remains a steadfast supporter of the ODIHR mandate and the role it plays in protecting fundamental freedoms.
