On December 16, 2025, under the motto “From the vineyards of the Balkans straight to the heart of Europe,” an event showcasing wines from the Western Balkans was held at the House of Albania in Brussels. Organized by the Albanian Mission to the EU and the Embassy of Albania in Brussels—in collaboration with the missions to the European Union from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia—the event took place in the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama and under the patronage of the Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos.

Participating countries from the region presented a variety of wines and indigenous food products to an audience comprising representatives from EU member states, European institutions, journalists, and researchers based in Brussels, as well as guests from the region itself.

In a warm and festive atmosphere, the evening highlighted—in a truly unique way—the shared values, blend of traditions, harmony, coexistence, and the cultural and culinary richness of the region’s nations, all while celebrating a heritage that fosters the construction of a shared future and a common European identity. Representatives of the Arbëri winery served their own products as well as others from Albania to the attendees, accompanied by selected food products from Albania.
